Dynamic Viscosity of Binary Fluid Mixtures: A Review Focusing on Asymmetric Mixtures

Abstract A literature review on experimental data for binary mixtures of methane and carbon dioxide with hydrocarbons up to n -hexadecane is presented. Based these data, the extended corresponding states method, two entropy scaling approaches, friction theory are analyzed respect their capability calculating viscosity values increasing asymmetry mixture. It shown that not only model but also underlying thermodynamic equation state has a significant influence result such calculations. Shortcomings identified both in modeling approaches.
